Agentic Platform Engineer

As an Agentic Engineer, you will develop intelligent solutions in which AI models and agents are integrated into our data platform. You combine data engineering know-how with AI expertise to build e.g. chatbots, autonomous assistants or generative AI applications that operate on our customers' data.

Tasks & Responsibilities

You develop AI-supported features and applications independently. You have experience in implementing e.g. a conversational agent or a decision support system using LLM APIs.  You use frameworks such as Azure OpenAI or libraries (e.g. LangChain) to orchestrate AI workflows (e.g. retrieval augmented generation: integration of knowledge databases for context-sensitive answers). In projects, you integrate AI models into existing data pipelines - ensuring that the AI is supplied with up-to-date data at runtime and using DevOps practices to automate ML pipelines (continuous integration of model code, continuous delivery in Azure environments). For these processes, you monitor the performance of the AI solutions and perform fine-tuning (e.g. adjustment of prompts, parameter tuning) for better results.

• 2-5 years of experience in software/data engineering, ideally 1-2 years in projects with machine learning or AI applications

• Good programming skills in Python

• Experience with cloud AI services (Azure ML, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure OpenAI or comparable).

• Familiar with databases and ideally vector databases (for semantic searches).

• Knows the basics of LLMs/NLP and may have already worked on chatbot or NLP projects.

• Experience with API integration and microservice architectures.

• Soft skills: strong problem-solving ability to find creative approaches to novel AI problems. Independent working style, but also ability to communicate complex ideas in a team.

• Language skills: English fluent and technical German confident in spoken and written
